Lead a Once-in-a-Generation Transformation in Public Sector Labour Relations

The Local Government Labour Relations Association (LGLRA) - formerly the Greater Victoria Labour Relations Association - is entering a pivotal moment. For nearly 50 years, the organization has played a significant role in stabilizing labour outcomes, supporting coordinated employer bargaining, and delivering measurable value to municipal employers.

Today, LGLRA is evolving into a province-wide, modern centre of excellence; expanding beyond bargaining into a full suite of labour relations and human resource services. Moving from a bundled regional model to a flexible, hybrid platform, combining core membership services with fee-for service advisory, project work, and coordinated bargaining support.

We are seeking an executive leader with both labour relations depth and entrepreneurial instinct to lead this evolution. This is a high-impact leadership role; shaping labour outcomes across BC while strengthening the capacity of local governments in an increasingly complex labour environment.

This role offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of governance, labour strategy, and public value, and lead an organization transitioning into a modern, high-impact service platform. Compensation is targeted in the range of $160,000 to $190,000 with competitive benefits.

If you are motivated by public impact, organizational leadership, and shaping the future of labour relations in BC, we invite you to contact Paul Murray to discuss the opportunity and apply in confidence at brentwoodadvisory@proton.me . Applications will be received through May 15, 2026.
